Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us when needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view timestamps
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device type
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring site, when available
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics services combine this traffic information. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Finding and correcting technical problems
- Maintaining reliable, quick page delivery
- Routing a search to the applicable partner service
- Measuring which material visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The published material explains how to reach Doña Ana County agencies, New Mexico Courts, the NMDPS Law Enforcement Records Bureau, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a third-party record or a consumer report. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted through those tools. Review the applicable provider policy before running a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to courts, sheriff and police pages, New Mexico agencies, legal resources, and outside search tools. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. Any such tracking takes place through the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. It may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a query
- Advertising networks serving material on the pages
- A government or law enforcement body acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for data in our care. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer law may provide additional rights. New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12, governs requests to public bodies rather than data held by this private site. NMSA 1978 §29-10-6 separately governs a person's inspection of their own state arrest information. You may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information held about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information where applicable
- Stop certain forms of processing where applicable
